NOTE: Today’s assignment includes the first part of your Future Letter. Tomorrows assignment includes the second part; “Vision”.
The only rule to these assignments is that you have fun, focus on what you want to achieve and believe is possible.
Remove and replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Sound easier said than done? Not really. Not when you get the knack of it. You’ll learn replacing negative thoughts with productive positive ones are really quite easy.
How do you remove negative thoughts?
What I do is, as soon as negative thoughts come up I immediately replace them with positive one’s. For instance, if a thought comes to me and says, “You can’t do that” I say oh yes I can! That’s it. Any more than that would be feeding the negative thoughts.
Negative thoughts are just that. Just as we are taught to think negative about certain things and self we can easily reteach ourselves to think differently, more positive. Don’t worry if the negative thoughts come back. Repeat the process.
Did you know: it takes approximately 21 times to change an old way? Just keep replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and soon the negative thoughts become a distant memory.
Overtime you won’t even hear negative thoughts. The power of what they once were will fade away.
Continue to focus on what you believe you are capable of not what past experiences dictate you are capable of. The same works with people. This assignment isn’t about them. This assignment is about you. Because the truth is you can achieve anything you put your mind too.
It’s not that negative thoughts are bad. They just don’t work.
